Jennifer Johannesen, known fondly by students as “Mrs. Joh,” provides music and movement instruction to students twice a week. She is a trained classical vocalist and holds a Masters Degree of Music in Opera Performance and Vocal Pedagogy.
Mrs. Joh has been teaching at Cold Spring Harbor Nursery School for the past five years and has additional years of experience working with children in church choirs as well as private lessons. She is the mother of three young girls, two of whom are alumnae. Mrs. Jo teaches music in a way that reaches each and every child, building confidence, inspiring creative movement, fostering listening skills, and teaching patterns, rhyming, and new vocabulary.
Three of Cold Spring Harbor Nursery School’s seasonal celebrations (Halloween, Holiday, and Spring) include concerts produced by Mrs. Joh and performed by our talented students.
